House Rules for the Bench

These Terms govern your use of Jorxo, a local craft notebook for logging sugar-pull / candy-pull batches — recipes, climate (temperature & humidity), pull timing, photos, voice notes, and failure notes. By opening the workshop gate and using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Jorxo is (and is not)

Jorxo is an on-device Sugar Pull Archive. It helps artisans stamp batches on the Batch Workbench, browse the Batch Rack, file Snapshot Cabinet favorites, and check stats on the Batch Score Board.

• It is a personal craft log — not kitchen safety certification, medical advice, or a commercial kitchen compliance tool.
• Smart Fill (photo scan / album pick / voice note) produces suggested fields only. You must confirm before Stamp & Save.
• Hot sugar and confectionery work carry real-world risk. Always follow local safety practice; the app does not supervise your stove.

2. Eligibility & your workshop session

You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live. Jorxo uses a local workshop session on your device. Leaving the bench ends the session; melting the archive erases local craft records as described in the in-app flow.

3. Fair use of the Archive

• Use Jorxo for lawful personal craft logging and reflection.
• Do not use Smart Fill or voice note to capture unlawful, harmful, or third-party private content without rights.
• Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the app to impersonate Jorxo or redistribute modified binaries as the official app.
• Do not rely on recognition output as authoritative lab measurements — thermometers and hygrometers remain the source of truth.

4. Intellectual property

Jorxo, the Sugar Pull Archive branding, UI, and original assets belong to the Jorxo publisher. Your batch names, notes, photos, and recipes remain yours. You grant only the limited rights needed for the app to save and display them on your device.

5. Permissions you may grant

Camera, photo library, microphone, and speech recognition are requested only when you start a Smart Fill action or attach process photos. Declining a permission switches you to manual entry; your existing batches are not deleted for that reason.

6. Third-party services

Jorxo may use Adjust for install attribution and product analytics. How related identifiers are handled, and how App Tracking Transparency choices affect tracking, is described in the Privacy Policy. Declining tracking does not remove access to core Sugar Pull Archive features.

7. No warranty

Jorxo is provided “as is” and “as available.” Success rates, sweet-spot temperatures, and failure tallies are computed from your confirmed stamps and are informational only. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, recognition accuracy, or fitness for a particular commercial purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

Jorxo is offered as a free download with no in-app purchases. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Archive — including kitchen accidents, wasted ingredients, or decisions made from suggested Smart Fill fields. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent allowed under applicable law for a free application with no paid transactions.

9. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms when features of the Sugar Pull Archive change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. You may stop using Jorxo anytime and erase local data via Erase local data / Melt archive in Artisan Corner.
